New images from the set of It’s a Man’s World and a few captures from Episode 2 of Obelisk Road.
I only found one episode of Obelisk Road if I find more I will post them. If not then this is what we got.
Dietland alumna Erin Darke is set as the lead in YouTube Premium’s comedy pilot It’s a Man’s World (working title), from Smash creator Theresa Rebeck, Christina Wayne’s Assembly Entertainment and ITV Studios America. In addition, Romeo Tirone (The Tick, Taken) has been tapped to direct and executive produce the pilot. Production began February 25 in New York.
Written by Rebeck, the story centers around Emma (Darke), a successful video game design executive and the sole breadwinner for her family, who is used to dodging the landmines that come with being a woman in a male-dominated field. When she gets fired without explanation and finds that she’s being blacklisted by everyone in her industry, Emma decides to dress as a man to get a new job and to continue supporting her family. As strange and politically incorrect as Emma’s new life may be, she starts to enjoy the newfound ease of access and power that comes with being a man.
Daniel Radcliffe (Miracle Workers, Harry Potter) and Erin Darke (Dietland, Summer ’03) join Paul and Jason to discuss the 2015 action film Dragon Blade starring Jackie Chan, Adrian Brody, and John Cusack. They talk about there being no dragon blade in the movie, arrows doing amazing things, Cusack’s accent, and much more.
New photos of Erin have been posted on facebook from a page called Women to the Front. Please consider liking it. These photos are actually not new but taken from earlier this year in February.
Erin recently attended The Lifespan of a Fact After Party joining her boyfriend Daniel Radcliffe. View photos down below.
New photos and video of Summer 03 Premiere here in Los Angeles which was on September 24. I have posted pics and video down below.
The network of The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul took a swing with the female-centric Dietland, starring Joy Nash and Julianna Margulies, but the series had a hard time drawing a wide audience. The network brass explored different options for keeping the show alive but in the end pulled the plug.
Season 1 averaged a paltry 203k adults 18-49 in live+3 ratings. It started with 262k in adults 18-49 for the premiere, slipping to a 158k in 18-49 for the finale.
“Dietland is bold, original and brave,” AMC said in a statement. “We are beyond proud of our partnership with Marti Noxon, Joy Nash, Juliana Margulies, Skydance and everyone else involved in bringing Sarai Walker’s story to the screen. Similarly, Aisha Tyler and our friends at Embassy Row delivered a unique companion show that led with fresh voices and important topics. “Dietland garnered critical acclaim and passionate fans but unfortunately we will not be able to continue with a second season.”
Erin Darke had this to say via twitter
I’m so sad that I don’t get to spend another winter with these people and that we don’t get to explore this story more. I’m also sad that my experiences in this industry the last few years leave me with a feeling that women’s stories are often given less of a chance to succeed. https://t.co/M3UGhBismU
